Gaines County Library System

WARP Guidelines and Rules

Winter Adult Reading Program is held annually throughout January and February.

Program Dates: Tuesday, January 2, 2018 through Wednesday, February 28, 2018

Registration begins: Tuesday, January 2, 2018 during Library hours

Age Requirement: Registrants must be at least 19 years of age

Guidelines: Read or listen to any Gaines County Library book you choose and record the title and format,
i.e., regular print book (book), large print book, audio cassette, audio CD, OverDrive eBook, or eAudio.
The number of pages will fluctuate between formats so the number will be calculated using number of pages in the regular print book. If Gaines County Library owns the regular print book, that number will be used, otherwise Library staff will use Amazon’s information as the primary resource for tallying.

Top Prize:  There are 4 Goals of 650 pages.  After the 2600 top goal is met your name goes in the drawing for the Top Prize and every 650 pages you read past the top goal your name will be entered again for the top prize drawing.  One adult name will be drawn from each Gaines County Library branch and 1 person from each branch will win a $200 gift card.

Guess Jar:  Each goal met allows the reader a guess on the number of contents in the jar. The Reader who is closest or exact wins the jar!
